Today was the last day of August.
Unbelievable!!
Getting older, I feel passing time is fast and fast...
I really enjoyed the summer vacation in August! Therefore, I have to work hard in September.
At first, I have to write a graduation thesis! I'm going to give a presentation in the end of October in front of seminar members. I have 6 chapters including a introduction and a conclusion in my thesis, but I wrote only 2 chapters! I have to read a lot of books, research, and organize...
Secondly, I'm going to work at a eyeglass shop that I'll work after I graduate. It's a kind of training for only 7 days. However, I can get money! Lucky♪ But!! In other words, I have much responsibility for my behavior. I'll do my best!!
Thirdly, I have to think about next presentation theme in the presentation class. Did everyone find your theme?? Next one is last presentation for us, so I want to give a perfect presentation! I have to find a good theme and prepare!
I have many things to do! I hope I could spend a full vacation in September, too★☆

Olympics
2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing are closed recently. I like sports, so I enjoyed watching Olympic games during a few weeks.
The most impressed thing is that Kosuke Kitajima who is a swimmer got 2 gold medals!! I was watching the race on TV with my friend. I thought he could have been put a lot of pressure from others. However, he didn't defend!! In addition, he set up a world record for the 100m breaststroke category. He is amazing! I felt that I have to make efforts to achieve my goal like him.
Anyway, Beijing Olympics finished and next one will be held in London in 2012. I really wanna go there!! Because I promised with my host mother that I'll come back to London in 2012 when I stayed London to study English.
I found this news on BBC website. In London, it seems that the Olympic is already warming up!

3 days traveling
Hello.
Last week, I went to Kobe City and Tokushima with my friend.
On August 18th★
We went to watch a baseball game at Koshien stadium in Kobe. That was the day of the final match of high school baseball league in Japan. We neither had been there, so we decided to go. Fortunately, Tokoha-Kikugawa high school, that is the champion of Shizuoka, advanced to the finals! I was happy to watch their game directly. We cheered them, but they couldn't win. However, I felt that I had precious time there.

After that, we went to Port Tower and Mosaic Garden in Kobe. We went up Port Tower and looked at the night view. That was wonderful!!

We ate dinner at Mosaic Garden, that is a shopping mall, and returned to the hotel.
On August 19th★
This day was very very hot!!!! We went to Tokushima by bus from Kobe. It took about 2 hours.
At first, we arrived at Naruto City. There is the Naruto Straits and a famous place of whirlpool viewing! We saw it from Uzuno-michi walkway. We passed on the walkway, but sometimes I felt scared! Because the walkway often shook and it has transparent window glasses!
If you have an interest in it, please check the website. It has also English pages.

And also, we got on a ship and watched it! Can you see the sea is whirling?

Next, we visited Tokushima city. We had been supposed to go there during the Awaodori season and meet a friend living in Tokushima, but we couldn't. Because he is busy for studying to take a public service examination.
In Tokushima, we went up Mt. Bizan. We used a ropeway and climbed to the top. It was beautiful! And also, I felt comfortable because the wind was cool. We couldn't see the famous night view, but I was satisfied.

After that, we went to Awaji island to stay a hotel. This hotel was really fantastic!!! We reserved a standard room, but the rooms were fully booked up that night. Then, we could stay a junior sweet room!!! When we entered the room, we were surprised at everything! Our most surprising thing was that the room had 2 rest rooms and 3 TVs; in addition, one of the TVs was set up in the bath room!!!
We drunk and relaxed here♪♪
On August 20th★
We went back to Kobe again. At first, we visited Ikuta Shrine. The shrine is famous because a Japanese actress, Norika Fujiwara, and a comedian, Tomonori Jinnai, wedded there.
We paid and drew fortune slips. I heard that the shrine is sacred to the gods of health, so I bought 2 talismans for my father and mother.
Next, we went to the Izinkan street that Western people used to live there. We didn't have enough time and power to see everything, but we enjoyed viewing the scenery.
I spent so much money for the trip...but it was very nice trip!! I also enjoyed talking with my friend. She lives in Tokyo now, so we can't meet many times. I promised with her that we will travel again until we'll graduate.
Thank you for reading this long post♪

Enjoy summer
Hello! I haven't written for a long time because I was busy recently. Why busy? Because I enjoy last looong summer vacation♪ I'll start working from next year, so the long summer vacation is last for me....so sad.
I did a lot of things during a few weeks.
On August 9th, I went to see the firework in Fukuroi City.
This firework is one of the best around here.
Thirty thousand rockets were shot off on the river.
They were very very beautiful!!!

Besides, I was happy to wear yukata. In this year, I tried wearing by myself!!
I could, but finally my grandmother fixed my sash. It is cute, isn't it??
Next, I will write about the trip to Kobe and Tokushima.
See you~~☆★

ESS Activity
Yesterday, we, ESS, made soaps for the school festival, that is called Hekifu-sai. That was second time to do. The first one was held at Mr. Sheehan's house, and this was at Create Hamamatsu. I couldn't take part in the first time, so I was happy to help.
Making soaps was fun!! It was completely new for me and we could enjoy working together. However, everyone looked tired after finished because we had to take very careful to treat chemicals! You can see some pictures on ESS blog.
Anyway, I'm really looking forward to Hekifu-sai. It will be held October 25th and 26th. If you have time, please come to see us and buy them!!
